I recently stayed at The Encore Hotel from the 1st to the 3rd. The hotel's central location near Walking Street and the beach was a huge plus, along with excellent food and a very hospitable staff. However, the rooms were quite basic, and I had to use the stairs since there is no lift available. Overall, it was a decent stay, especially due to the fantastic service I received.

I had a stay at The Encore Hotel from the 1st to the 3rd, and it left me with mixed feelings. The location was fantastic—right near the bustling Walking Street and the beach. The hospitality from the staff, particularly Bodhi Da, was really good; he made us feel like family. However, the rooms were fairly basic and there was no lift, which made it challenging when carrying luggage.

The rooms were basic and certainly in need of an upgrade. Our first family suite had terrible conditions, but I was fortunate to get switched to a better room on the first floor on the second day. The lighting was poor, and some amenities were outdated or broken.

The hotel's location was perfect—just a short walk to Walking Street, which was perfect for enjoying the nightlife and dining options. It also was close to the beach.
Dining

Dining was quite good, with some excellent offerings like aloo parotha and the pancake platter. However, breakfast was served at a separate restaurant across the road, which was inconvenient.
Facilities

The hotel had decent facilities, but the lack of an elevator was a downside. Basic amenities were available, but some were older and in disrepair, which did detract from the experience.

The hotel's central location near Walking Street and the beach was a major highlight, along with the excellent service from the staff. However, the room's condition was basic, and the absence of an elevator made getting around a bit challenging.

The staff, especially Hotel Manager Bodhi Da, provided very nice hospitality, making me feel like family. However, the lack of elevators and the basic room quality were notable downsides.
